“HISTORY” Aria Graye Taulor was born to Rebecca and George Taulor in Dublin, Ireland on October 31, 1985, while the Taulors were visiting family. As a child, Aria was extremely close to her older brother, Zane, who was her best friend. As the youngest child, she got a lot of attention, but still could only walk in Zane's shadow. The older boy loved his baby sister dearly, and she will always be his baby sister, but he held a slight childhood grudge against her for being cute and adorable and at that stage where children look like huggable, kissable, little loaves of bread.
When Charlotte came along, the cutest child with the most darling blonde ringlets and stellar blue eyes, Aria and Zane were stuck together once again. Aria was four when Charlotte was born, and Zane was nine. Despite the age difference between each sibling, the three of them were as thick as thieves.
When Aria was ten years old, she landed a lead role with Rapp Theatre in her family's hometown of Richmond, Virginia. In the play 'The Bad Seed', she starred as Rhoda Penmark, a child sociopath. Thus, Aria's love of theatre began. Her school life wasn't exceptionally wonderful, except for her English teacher, who inspired Aria to take her acting career farther.
In grade eight, Aria met Evan Alastor, a grade nine boy who was charming, sweet, and anything she ever could have wanted in a boy. He was polite, he was smart, he carried his own in a conversation, he never made her mad, and he was incredibly easy on the eyes. Then perfect Evan screwed up. Majorly. One night, he pulled something out of his pocket. A condom. He pressured her for sex, and she said no. Again, and again it happened, until Evan finally gave up. Aria was suspicious, all of a sudden he was okay with not having sex with her? She did some digging, and learned that he had been having sex with Armenia Gill, a girl she barely knew. Aria confronted Armenia and Evan, the former having no idea that Evan and Aria were even together. Aria forgave Armenia easily, but refused point-blank to have anything to do with Evan. Armenia broke up with Evan, disgusted at his actions, and she and Aria became good friends. Gain a friend, lose an asshole.
When she reached grade nine, Aria met a boy who soon became her best friend; Roger Black. He was in both her English and her drama classes, and they both hit it off straight away. They joined the theatre club together, and both auditioned for plays with Rapp.
In the summer before Aria went into grade ten, she met Roger's friend Edward. He was kind, funny, sweet. On a whim, they started dating. They dated until early January, when they decided that they loved each other, but they made better friends than they did lovers.
After Edward came Thomas Gray. He was two years older than her, and it was just a summer fling, but Aria loved it. She was quite unimpressed when he told her than he had a girlfriend, and had for three years, but she was in Europe for the summer. Aria hated being 'the other woman' in the relationship, she felt dirty, like she had intruded on something special. And so she broke it off.
In grade eleven, Aria met one spectacular Harver Richardson-Presley. He was an okay guy, a bit badass, and they got together until the summer before their senior year, where they just didn't feel anything anymore.
Aria was very stressed during her senior year, trying desperately to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. After talking to her mom, Zane, and Roger, she decided that she was going to apply for any drama program she could find. Aria was ecstatic to learn that she had been accepted to Juilliard, of all places, and that Roger was going to be there with her. But the happiness didn't last long. One day, her father died. He was fighting the war in Afghanistan, and George and a few friends decided to bomb the other side with a homemade bomb. They had just finished assembling it when it exploded. Only one out of the six involved men survived, barely. Rebecca went into denial, refusing to believe that her husband was dead. She locked herself in her room, barely coming out, and when she did, she hallucinated. She would cook a large, extravagant meal and sit at her place at the table, waiting for her beloved to come home. When Charlotte and Aria told her time and again that George had died, she would go into these rages, accusing them of lying. It was a horrible thing to see.
But, then there was Edmond Van Der Woodsen. The handsome young man went to Juilliard, just as she did, and was a year older. He was understanding, he knew how to calm down Aria when she was going through such a difficult time in her life. He was perfect for her. They were together for three years, and planned on getting married. But when Edmond proposed, Aria couldn't do it. She couldn't marry him. Although Aria broke his heart, Edmond understood. How he understood, Aria never thought to ask or internally question, but let it be.
In 2006, Aria and Roger auditioned (and made it, of course) for a small NYC theatre company's version of Phantom of the Opera. Aria was more than elated when she landed the role of Christine, and when Roger landed the role of Raoul. She couldn't imagine pretending to love anybody else. Roger and Aria developed a tight relationship with Jesiah Ericksen, who played the Phantom himself. The three were thicker than thieves, practically inseparable. Jesse attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, and the three often had small wars over which school was better, Juilliard or AMaDA.
In 2007, the two boys pressured Aria to try out for Sweeney Todd, a production with the same company that had done their beloved Phantom of the Opera. Having looked at the musical score, Aria was quite intimidated. So the Three Musketeers auditioned, and Aria was more than thrilled -but not surprised- when Jesiah landed the role of the demon barber himself. She and Roger -naturally- scored the parts of Johanna and Anthony. A young woman by the name of Rachel Parker showed up as Eleanor Lovett, and blew everyone away with her extreme vocal talents. She became very close friends with Aria.
2008 brought two small flings for Aria: Elton Ingels and Jack Pyatt. Elton worked backstage at the theatre, and Aria started a small relationship with him during the productions of Sweeney Todd. Their relationship was never official and lasted no longer than a month, but it was fun while it lasted. Jack was a down-to-earth guy, and was Rachel's cousin who studied cognitive science at the University of Toronto, in Canada. Jack came down to visit family for a while, and Aria and he had a flirtatious relationship, but nothing serious.
